Creative Interiors Carpet One was honored with a visit from Jack Oehm, Battalion Commander, FDNY (Ret.), who is a board member of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Commander Oehm provided the guests with an update on the Building for America’s Bravest program which builds hi-tech “smart homes” for service members returning from war who have been catastrophically injured. Carpet One, and its manufacturing partner Mohawk, have committed to providing flooring materials and installation for 46 of these “smart homes.” Will Dukes, owner of Carpet One, said “We are so very proud to support this worthy cause and we’re delighted to give them a check on behalf of our staff and clients.” As a “thank you” for their efforts, Creative Interiors Carpet One was given a small piece of one of the main girders from the World Trade Center towers housed in a shadow box.
